Arrival & Check in Information – Julian Markham House
When you first arrive
There will be a few things that we will need to do before you move into your room:
w We’ll need to check that you have a confirmation letter for your booking as sent by the Housing Services,
w You will be given a fire safety briefing and an overview of relevant safety features of the building
w We will issue your keys and take you through the security details and show you to your room
Flat/room Inventory and Check in Inspection Record
Within the Welcome Guide you will find an inventory of items for your flat/room. Please check that all of the items listed in the inventory are present. Should any items listed not be present, please contact a member of the Hospitality Team within 48 hours of receiving your keys.
Within the Welcome Guide you will also find an Inspection Record. We will have inspected your room to ensure that it is in good and tenantable condition and any comments, where applicable, will be noted on your Check-In Inspection Record. Should you have any additional comments on the condition of your room, please enter these in the ‘customer comments’ box on the Inspection Record form and return to your Hospitality Team within 48 hours.
Check in times
The check in times for Julian Markham House are:
w The Big Move-In weekends - Sunday 2nd September & Sunday 16th September from 10am till 5pm
w Or, Monday to Friday (following the start date of your Tenancy Agreement) check in any time, we operate 24/7.
As you can imagine, the Move in weekend can get quite busy – so we will need you to be patient with us if there’s a queue. We tend to get busy around lunchtime so earlier mornings are generally quieter.

There are limited parking spaces available for unloading for 30-minute slots at Julian Markham House.
Please ask for access to car park at Reception at Julian Markham House on the day of your arrival.

What items are included and what do I need to bring?
Cluster flat
Kitchens: If you will be living in one of our cluster flat rooms you will have a shared kitchen which will include fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board.
Bedroom: Your bed will be provided. The size of the bed in your room is single.
You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels along with any toiletries you require.
All properties
There will also be share laundry facilities in the building so all you will need is your washing detergent and change for the machine!
